How often are you allowed to drive it??? For that I would guess once a month. _________________ "Only two things are infinite, the universe and human stupidity, and no one is really sure about the universe yet!!!!" (Albert Einstein 1879-1955)

Thats a bargain.....they wanted $1298 to insure my FPV for $45K, to drive 12 times a year....and I have a perfect driving record, no tickets no accidents for well over 10 years....no claims on insurance for over 15 years, and even then not my fault.
Could not even buy another one for 45K even in this slow market if it was a total loss... _________________ "Only two things are infinite, the universe and human stupidity, and no one is really sure about the universe yet!!!!" (Albert Einstein 1879-1955)

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
When I was building my house in 2007 I locked the cars away and surrounded them with boxs and furniture in a family members alarmed garage. So I let the insurance lapse since they didn't turn a wheel for over 18 months.
When it came time I got quotes from NRMA Viv&Vet (original insurer), Shanons and LSV.
Two cars at 100K both on Club Rego
LSV $642.26 with $250.00 excess
Nrma $1080.00 Same excess
Shanons said ok to 100k for XY but only 60k for the RPO.
for $1,247.17 but I hung up on them when he said
1k standard excess and 5k theft excess.
They claimed it was because of the payouts for the 2 cars stolen at the Gold Coast car show.
So I went with LSV, havn't had to claim so I don't know how that would go. Might have to quiz Mr Tango on Monday.
Cheers
Kon
Just to clarify
That is 2 cars insured for 1ooK each under one policy for a total of $642.26.
Or $321.13 per car
Renewal is due next month so will let you know if there is any big change in premium.
Cheers

It is in the insurance world, as they only go back 5-10 years at the most, and I have had max no claim bonus for over 10 years...even the accident I had I was not the at fault driver. _________________ "Only two things are infinite, the universe and human stupidity, and no one is really sure about the universe yet!!!!"
