Owned since 1987 and has been in storage in parts from 1988 – 2022.

Shortly after having purchased the GT in 1987, the XY had engine bay fire caused by a carby backfire. Although only the bonnet and engine bay were damaged, the owner decided to strip the car to rebuild it. At this stage, the car was repainted, but left as it was, in a garage under a cover and in pieces until 2022.

Unfortunately, the owner was diagnosed with Cancer, and the owner’s brother and family rebuilt the car so that he could see it finished. Sadly, the owner never made it.

The rebuild including a repaint, engine and gearbox rebuild, were only just completed in time for the owner’s funeral earlier this month.

The car comes with many boxes of spare parts which can be negotiated with the sale.
